Darren Poyzer & Trisha Plant are a down to earth live music duo, playing original, accessible, dynamic songs.
Darren has been writing and performing for over 40 years. During his career, he has performed at many prestigious events, including Glastonbury Festival, Edinburgh International Festival, Belladrum Tartan Heart, Acoustic Festival Of Britain, and Bearded Theory. He has performed at thousands of events across a wide range of occasions and celebrations, in tents, theatres, clubs, cafes and community centres.
He has either toured with or supported artistes such as John Cooper Clarke, The Men They Couldn’t Hang, The Zombies, Eddi Reader, Hawkwind, Roy Harper, Wishbone Ash, Fisherman’s Friends, Glenn Tilbrook, Steve Coogan & many more!
Trish teamed up musically with Darren in 2025 and within 3 months the duo became award winners for their performances and contributions to Buxton Festival Fringe. Together they won the Spirit Of The Fringe award, and were nominated for Best Music Show. She is a keen crafter, community events team leader, and former care work manager.
As a creative and enterprising, spontaneous duo they continually strive to respond to current global and domestic events, the back catalogue bringing songs that have received amazing and heart-warming receptions at across the UK and beyond.
On this very special occasion, the eve of Remembrance Day, Darren returns to his childhood hometown – a place where he attended school (Dinting C of E and Glossop Comprehensive) until age 16—and returned as a reluctant and troubled war veteran, age 18, following The Falklands Conflict.
