SUMMARY:Glossop Cinema Club & Sensory Leakage: Performance (1970)
DESCRIPTION:“Performance was not only the greatest seventies film about identity; if any movie in the whole Story of Film should be compulsory viewing for film makers\, maybe this is it” – Mark Cousins \n“one of the best rock movies of all time” – Quentin Tarantino \nControversial\, influential and innovative. Performance – starring Mick Jagger and James Fox – was reluctantly released into cinemas by Warner Bros. Pictures in 1970\, and has developed a dedicated following since then. \nCo-directed by Donald Cammell (Demon Seed) and Nicolas Roeg (Don’t Look Now)\, join us for this screening of a unique and challenging motion picture – featuring an introduction and short film before the feature presentation. \nContent Warning: Please be advised that the film contains some extremely strong and offensive language as well as graphic sexual content.
